- What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathic Medicine is over 100 years old and is recognized as a safe and additional way to treat or augment treatment for many conditions. The Doctor uses a hands on practice to reduce or alleviate functional changes as well as discomfort using the principle that proper alignment aides the body to recover from insult to the musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory and circulatory systems
- Will I be in pain?
The treatment is designed to minimize pain. There may be short lived, momentary discomfort during treatment and possibly after, that usually resolves spontaneously. Increasing water intake and an occasional Tylenol may help if pain lasts longer than a couple of hours.
- What is Osteopathic treatment?
Osteopathic treatment is a learned ( over 4 years of Osteopathic medical school) treatment with the Doctor using their hands to make adjustments, using various techniques to align the body and cranium.
- How long are the treatments?
The treatments are scheduled in 30 min increments.
